We are excited to announce a significant achievement in our efforts to improve water quality and operational efficiency. Fulcrum Robotics has secured a three-year contract with innovative water utility, SEQ Water, for a pioneering tank cleaning, inspection, and sediment management program. This initiative is in collaboration with Detection Services and Clearpro Systems.
The program involves the thorough cleaning of more than 70 treated water reservoirs using state-of-the-art technology. Through the use of robotics, sediment will be systematically removed, allowing for inspection and cleaning of assets while ensuring compliance with environmental discharge regulations. This approach promises substantial benefits for the environment and local communities.
A notable aspect of this program is the implementation of the NO-DES potable water cleaning solution tailored for water tanks and reservoirs. This technology enables cleaning with ROVs, sediment removal, and the safe reintroduction of cleaned water into tanks, meeting Water Quality AS4020 standards.
Chris Evans, COO of Detection Services, comments, "We are enthusiastic about this partnership which harnesses advanced robotics and water quality solutions to uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. This initiative not only safeguards reservoir integrity but also supports the utility's commitment to providing clean, safe drinking water to the community."
